QC Response Templates

Currently I can select a single response template per checklist item.

Can these instead be set up so that the response template to be used depends upon the response? For example, on a FAIL I want the Deficiency Observation response template to come up. On a PASS I want a General (non-deficiency) response template to come up.

Each would also be treated differently. On a FAIL a response would be forced. On a PASS the user would have the option to create an Observation.

This would allow appropriate flexibility to have different Observation templates depending upon the response - in this particular case a Deficiency requires more info than a General Observation, and users have expressed interest in simplifying General Observations be removing the unnecessary fields.

This can be achieved with modifying the visibility settings of the Quality Observation template. We have tested this with Safety Observations. You can hide or add fields based on if PASS or FAIL is selected. It will look/feel like two different observations, but in reality, it’s the same template changing based on the initial input of Pass or Fail.

      Patrick,

I tried this morning and fumbled around with this some while not getting anywhere. I got to the visibility settings page but could not find any “if PASS” or “if FAIL” conditions to attach to the visibility functions. Would you have time this week (and the patience) for another one-on-one tutorial on the visibility tools that will help me achieve this?
