Future tool: logistics calendar
had an idea for another tool that could be added. Have you seen/heard of/used Teamup before? Typically used for site logistics, deliveries, reserving time on lifts/scaffold/elevator, etc. Its just a giant group calendar the subs can access and add their own events. Wondering if thats something we could build our own version of and put in Mercury. https://www.teamup.com/
Submittal Distribution - Remove Recipients
There is currently no option to remove recipients from the distribution list when issuing closeout/approved submittals to our trade partners. When you go to distribute, it automatically includes the reviewers in the list and allows you to add recipients but not remove as needed. Being able to remove reviewers would be beneficial so the design team doesn’t receive an email notification each time a submittal is distributed to our trades.
RFI & Submittal Report Page Separations
RFI & Submittal reports currently separate line items between multiple pages. Can we add some rule that keeps line items on the same page?
Exporting Void Submittals
Currently when you void or “recycle” a submittal, you cannot export it as a PDF. This needs to be an option to document voided submittals.
Automatic Submittal # based off of Spec Section
When creating new submittals, after entering in the spec section, it would be nice to have the ‘Submittal #’ box auto-populate based off of how many submittals there are for that spec section.
Process Numbers on Mobile
On mobile, once you tap into a process (RFI or Submittal) you no longer see the process number. Can we add that to the top?
Submittal resent
every time I edit a Submittal and click either the back or the Save and continue button, I am auto matily rerouted to the first page of submittals. I would like it to keep me on the page that I was last on. we currently have over 100 submittals and with page view at 10 per page it is very annoying to have to click thorough 6 pages to get back to where I was, every single time.
Download Entire Current Drawing Set
Currently you can only download the drawings by discipline. If you want to download the entire set of drawings you must download each discipline individually and then combine them manually. A feature to download the entire set of drawings in one file would be very helpful and save time.
Submittal Revision Issues
Currently, when a submittal is returned as revise and resubmit, you must void out the current form, and a new form is created with the suffix R1. When filling out the R1 submittal form, we have encountered issues with the submittal workflow that make it challenging to effectively proceed with a revision. It appears the workflows do not update, and the workflow boxes reflect the original submittal form. There is no way to delete a workflow box, so when filling out the workflow you are left with two boxes - one that is assigned to the creator, and one that is assigned to the reviewer. The solution we have been using is either to delete the R1 form and create an entirely new form with a functional workflow, or to delete the creators name from the first workflow box, and replace it with the reviewer and not assign a date, which leaves two workflow assignments, but only one of them is needed. These extra steps and the uncertainty about the functionality of the workflow make it hard to replicate a standard procedure between team members. A potential solution would be to re-design the revision system. Instead of mercury creating an entirely new form for a revision upon creation, the original form should be utilized with the addition of a revision history menu that is only created upon the creation of a revision. Ideally, if a submittal is returned as revise and resubmit and a revision is needed, the following process would be used: create revision is selected a revision menu is then produced within the original form, instead of a new form being created the workflows are erased and the submittal status is reverted to open the submittal number automatically produces a suffix of “R1” or “0.1” to show this is the first revision the submittal revision history can be seen within the submittal form Having submittal revisions set up in this way will make it so much easier to track revisions, especially when a submittal is partially approved. If one form has several revisions, it will be extremely messy to find each individual revision within the submittal list.
QC Progress Reporting
Current State - How it works now. I don’t have any reporting functions currently Desired State - How you would like it to work. Could we create a QC Implementation Progress Report that does the following? exports the entire QC Planner to and Excel format Contents would include Planner Groups and all planned Forms For each group / form the export would include % complete Describe how it will make life easier, whether it saves time or just makes it smoother. I will be involved in Quarterly Deep Dives in every region and need a way to report QC Implementation Progress so I can compare it to Construction Progress and identify whether we’re current or if not, exactly where and by how much we are behind. I don’t currently have any tools to do this efficiently. It will be impossibly cumbersome to do it manually. The report will give me a basis upon which I can add information comparing the QC progress with construction progress and communicate it clearly and readily.

PDF Export Formatting
Current formatting on exports is very minimalistic. We need to spend some time tuning up things like: Table Column and Row Sizes to match the text/number Table Borders & Shading Margins
Auto-populate Spec Sections
Currently, Mercury allows you to manually key spec sections in your RFI’s, submittals, etc. This should be auto populated based on spec sections to avoid mistakes and inconsistencies
Editing Album Names on Mobile
There’s no option to change the name of an album from your device. This should be updated to allow album names to be changed from mobile if needed. This is a quality of life issue.
Multiple Document Folders Open
Currently, in the document browser, you can only have one document folder expanded at a time; i.e. either the “Current Set”, “Public”, or “Private” folder contents can be expanded, but not the others. It would be better to have the option for all document folders visible to help with file navigation and finding documents. See snip for more context.
Adding users to groups
Currently, to add a user to a group you need to search that user in the group tool and add them from there. It would be great to have the option to click on the user in the directory and choose to add them to a group. It would be even better to have the ability to click on multiple users at once and add them all to a group. This is a quality of life time saver.
Bulk Import Users
Currently, to add users, you need to include everyone one-by-one individually. It would be amazing if there was an excel sheet we can edit and then upload to the directory to bulk add users. This would be a huge time save.
Location Generation
Currently, it appears that project locations must be entered by hand into the location tool. This can take a lot of time on a big project. Is there a way to get a feature added to automatically generate locations by reading the uploaded drawings? That way, it would take less time to enter them and only require a bit of QC on the user end.

Bulk Submittal Builder
Mercury currently doesn’t have the ability to create submittals from spec - this greatly reduces the amount of time needed to create draft submittals. Ideally, a bulk edit feature would also be released allowing multiple submittal deletions (ProCore would often pull more submittals than what was needed, but going back through and deleting these is more time efficient than manually entering all submittals)
Site Logistics Map on Homepage
I would like the option to show a site logistics map on the homepage of Mercury that all users see upon logging in. It could show delivery zones, danger tape areas, and maybe a delivery calendar.

RFI Hyperlink
Use hyperlinks in the "references" of the RFI to link to a drawing or spec
Daily Report list - show day represented as a sort column
need to show the day the report is for on the list. currently only updated and created columns shown. checked the templates options and didn’t see the day for the daily log.
Open Drawing in New Tab in Document Viewer
Currently, to add a new drawing tab in the document viewer, I have to press the “+” button and then navigate in the drawing tree to the drawing I wish to view. I would like to add an option to click on the three dots next to a drawing and open it in a new tab (example snip attached.) This will streamline opening multiple related drawings.
RFI tagging
Currently, the RFI tag doesn’t link to a cloud to show what area was impacted by the RFI. It would be helpful if you could link an RFI label to a mark up so it is clear what area the RFI is for.
Template: Import from CSV
Kaiser is looking to use their procurement log (excel file) to import the data for each submittal into the appropriate fields. As we discussed this development should support the future use of AI to find this data in the PDF file and apply it to the fields in Mercury. Docuement Export Attachment Selection
Now that RFI’s and submittal offer attachment stapling when exporting, the next step up would be to allow the user to select which attachments to staple and export instead of all attachments being exported.
Exporting Submittals with Bookmarks
When exporting submittals, you lose any bookmarks the original files had. It would be ideal if the export kept the bookmarks and maybe even made bookmarks for each attachment coverpage that’s generated. In the meantime, can we get an option of what attachments to export? I don’t need all attachments to export, only the approved submittal. Also, the tool update lost the Andersen logo in the top left.
Submittal Generated Number
Submittal tool automatically generates a number in order submittals are created. It is near the created by/updated by section. It would be nice to have an option to turn this off in the template.
RFI Revisions
Currently, when you input a revision it voids the previous RFI. I think this function should be changed to not automatically void the previous RFI.

Hyperlinks on whiteboard
Can we figure out a way to post hyperlinks on the white board? Can only insert text but can’t create direct hyperlink for someone to directly click and follow the URL.
Meetings: Search for Text
When a meeting template has many or just a few published forms, we need to be able to search the entire series (all forms created from that template) for specific words. This will make looking up past direction or decisions much easier. Could possibly be done from the tool home?
Reorder Several Pages At Once
When uploading new sheets to Mercury from a Bluebeam PDF, pages can sometimes be added out of order even if they are correctly ordered in the Bluebeam bookmarks. Currently, when you select Reorder Pages at the top of the folder with all the sheets, Mercury does not allow you to continue to reorder the pages after moving one. This means you have to scroll all the way back to the top of the set and select reorder pages again. This adds a lot of time to the correction of out-of-order pages, especially for sets that are hundreds of pages with large quantities that are out of order. If Mercury allowed for the reordering of multiple pages at one time without having to scroll back to the top of the set, it would be a big time save.
Photos Albums Within Albums
Currently, you can’t create an album within another album. This functionality would be really helpful for organization. For example, to track drywall install you can have one photos album named “drywall” and then multiple albums within that album for each day or particular area.
Documents: Full Screen PDF View
Requesting the header and footer be minimized when viewing a Document/Drawing/Spec to make the viewable area as large as possible. This could be done with a full screen view option that makes the area just abve the tabs to just below the sheet numbers take the entire window. Requested by: Brian Deans
Documents: File Type Restriction
Currently only PDF files are allowed to upload to Documents. When UPLOAD NEW DOCUMENT is selected and then Document is selected, it should allow .doc, .xlsx, .csv at a minimum but many more would be ideal. These folders is were files will be shared for all kinds of purposes since we are asking all parties to collaborate in Mercury. Therefore we should allow anything to be shared here. Mass Edit Files
Looking to do the same action on many files or folders within the Public and Private folder all at once. The exception being Distribute folder, Permissions, and Rename since those would be dangerous to do to multiple files or folders at the same time. This is for WEB only. Here's the current options menu for Folders and Files. FOLDER FILE I suggest this happen by adding an icon in the upper right next to new folder and new file that is a pencil in a folder and another that is a pencil on the paper. Maybe add a + over the existing icons to make it clear they mena add and the new buttons are edit. The over text says "mass edit" to stay away from the terminology we already use with Bulk Updating of drawings and specs. Then once either edit is pressed (that can't be pressed the same time), a checkbox appears next to the files or folders. The user then checks boxes next to the ones they want changes made. Once as least one box is checked a the action options appear below the folder/file edit/new icons.
Photo Timestamps
Currently photo uploads only show the upload date. Can the date the photo was taken also be added? This can make thinks much easier to search for and can be very important for documentation purposes.

From a mobile device we need the same "respond on behalf" feature that currently exists on web so that users can close out assigned forms that are not currently in their court.

Tool Home: Search, Filters & Views
Looking to have each tool home screen work more similar to there reports tool. This will allow more customization of column order, filters, and visibility while also being able to save those "views". The search also needs to match the directory.
Customizable Email Notification Body
Similar to the ENG issue below. Looking to customize the body of a notification email based on selecting inputs. As talked about this could be a foot gun, so the suggestion below tries to provide freedom without the potential for harm by limiting where the inputs can be added and which inputs can be added. We should also limit the quantity of each input either by quanity (each input) or by real estate (fits in the area). Also, make the link to pdf the same look and size as the Link to Mercury. Lastly to make it look "less like phishing" add a logo/salutation to the bottom. Customer name/logo was requested as well, but I don't have any suggestions for placement. Documents: Search Drawing Text
Looking to have a search that looks for text in a the PDF file of the drawing set. For example it would pick op drawing notes or detail titles.
Documents: Select Pages for Download / Export
Often the Bulk Update option will open up the ability to select multiple. Then there are a few functions that can be done to which ever items are selected. In this case we are looking to have a way to select specific pages for download. Since we've used the term Bulk Update for the process of dropping in new pages, we may simply add a Export Selected option at the header of each list of pages That could que a model window like Bulk update with a drawing list. Maybe a similar UI to reconciling fuzzy matches with a list of sheets that can be selected with a radio button. Requested by: Zach Hughes
Reopen RFI's/Submittals
Mercury doesn’t currently allow for reopening of submittals and RFI’s - sometimes info is missed, and new attachments/reviewers need to be added to an RFI and submittal
PDF Export: Staple Attachments
When exporting a form, the attachments should be included as PDF's at the end of the document. This would be similar to how we export pictures in the Daily Report tool. Currently when exporting the form comes out in a pdf and any attachment are a hyperlink that opens separately forcing someone creating a complete document to do the stapling themself. Requested by: Zach Hughes
Bulk Photo Export
Currently the only way to export photos is to download them individually. It would be beneficial to create an option to bulk select photos within an album or to be able to select one or multiple albums for download. It would also be beneficial when multiple albums are selected for download if the download grouped the photos into folders that retained the name of the album in Mercury.
Checklist Items: Comment & Picture
For both QC and Safety there has been requests to reduce the taps for a Passing checklist item. Current State: An Observation can be required upon pass on not. Observations include title, description, photo, assignment and cc. Suggested State: Have an option to add only a comment and photo after pressing Pass. Which means after tapping Pass a model for "Comment or Photo?" will be needed. That comment and photo will live in the checklilst item. Exporting of the checklists will need to be resolved. Albums will then have an album for checklists. MER-487
Moving Photos in Albums
There’s no way to move a photo from one album to another. Right now, you have to download the photos you want to move, delete them from the folder you downloaded from, and then create a new folder and upload the photos. This is very tedious, makes for potential errors, and loses the meta data of who originally uploaded the photo and when. This should be changed to allow photos to be selected and moved to another folder.
